Community Unlimited has served children, families, and communities since 1999.
Our history
Established September 25, 1999
Community Unlimited was established to improve the quality of life across Union City, Burlington, and Sherwood.
Since then, CU has expanded into additional communities while continuing to focus on community development, local partnerships, and youth education.
Community Unlimited operates from a historic industrial arts building constructed in 1949 at the corner of Park and Ellen Streets in Union City. Today, CU is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving families across multiple communities through GSRP, summer programming, family support, and collaborative community initiatives.
CU’s historic roots remain in Union City, Burlington, and Sherwood. Its current GSRP reach includes Athens, Harper Creek, Homer, Marshall, Tekonsha, and Union City.

Community Unlimited’s work is strengthened through partnerships with Calhoun Intermediate School District, local school districts, Branch County United Way, Branch County Community Foundation, and other organizations committed to children, families, and stronger communities.
